An event you might like…

by | 14 Jun 2015

Don’t worry you haven’t lost a week in time. This is just a mini blog between my usual fortnightly instalments. I wanted to let you know, in case you’re free and fancy it, that on Monday 29th June we’re hosting an event at the theatre I run in London – the Lyric Hammersmith – about why and how anyone ever swims the Channel in support of my fundraising campaign. It’s being chaired by the TV presenter Janet Ellis and features some very special guests including Jackie Cobell, world record holder for the slowest Channel swim ever who has also fostered over 100 children. She’s one of the amazing women I have interviewed for my new book and a total inspiration. It’s going to be a fun evening. No jellyfish invited. Do come if you can.

PS. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me since my blog last week. I’ve trained harder because of it!

    If I wasn’t 400 miles away I’d be there like a shot – have a lovely evening!
